Farmhouse. Early C19. Slatestone rubble and cob walls. Hipped scantle slate roof
with brick chimneys over side walls, asbestos slate roofed wing to rear right with
brick chimney over gable end. L shaped plan with 2 room central stair front plus
kitchen wing to rear with larder in angle under outshut. 2 storeys. Nearly
symmetrical 3 window south front. All original 16 pane hornless sashes with much
crown glass. Nearly central doorway with C20 flat roofed glazed porch. Original
door and sashes also to rear wing.
Interior is little altered with original dog leg stair with curved balustrade to
landing; original doors, partitions, floors and roof structure; egg and dart plaster
ceiling cornice to left room; chair rail to right room; moulded beams to kitchen;
pine muntin and plank screens and original built in settle. 1st floor rooms not
inspected.
