7/106 The Old Court House - 30-5-67 GV II

House, formerly where the Manor courts were held. Probably C17, remodelled early C18. Textured render over slatestone rubble and cob. Dry Delabole slate roofs with gable ends and hipped rear wings. Rendered stone gable stack, left, and external lateral stack to front and rear wall, right. 3 room, single depth, through passage plan plus stair turret rear right wing. 2 storeys. 3 + 1-window, south front. Right hand bay recessed slightly and under lower roof line. Doorway in third ground floor opening, C20 door. All C20, 2-light leaded casements. Interior is little altered with early C18 dog leg turned baluster closed string stair, heavy bowtell moulded beams, moulded plaster ceiling cornice over stair and many 2-panel doors.
