7/74 Nos 6 and 7 and garden wall and
railings to south
GV II
Pair of houses and garden wall and railings to front. Mid C19. Killas rubble with
granite quoins, jambstones and lintels. Original slurried scantle slate hipped roof
with projecting eaves to front and brick chimney over east side wall.
Semi-detached pair of mirror image double depth houses with entrances paired at
centre and one principal room to either side with service room behind.
2 storeys. South west fronts. Each house has 2-window front with doorway grouped
towards middle and a window over. Flat roofed C20 glazed porches. No 7 (right) has
original 12-pane hornless sashes. No 6 has later sashes. Cast iron ogee gutters.
Interior not inspected.
Low granite coped rubble wall to front with 2 original entrances and surmounted by
rectangular baluster and rail fence with matching gates.
This is one of a row of similar contemporary houses in St Johns Terrace which form an
impressive group in spite of later alterations to some of the houses.
