Farmhouse. Possibly mid C17 remodelled and extended in circa early C18. Rendered stone rubble with rag slate roof slope to front elevation and asbestos slate roof rear slope and rear wing. Main range roof with hipped ends. Rear wing with gable end, the outer slope of roof continued down over single-storey extension. 2 axial brick chimney stacks to main range. Axial chimney stack at higher end, originally end stack before range was extended. Large stone rubble chimney stack at gable end of rear wing. Plan altered. Circa mid C17 range now forms rear wing to main range. C17 range probably of 2 room and through passage plan. The higher room and through passage have been retained and the C18 range was built at lower end of through passage, extending across the slope forming an overall 'L' shape plan. The C18 range probably comprised a 2-room plan with an integral outshut to rear originally for service rooms and now containing the stairs. The C17 wing was extended with an integral outshut in circa C19 with a catslide roof continuing down over the single-storey extension on the outer higher side. The main range was also extended by 1 narrow room at the higher end. On the rear, a courtyard is formed by the inner angle of the 2 ranges and garage and outbuilding adjoining the lower end of a barn directly to the north west (qv). A stone rubble wall encloses the fourth side. 2 storeys, asymmetrical 5-window front. Ground floor with part glazed C20 plank door to left; and 20-pane sash without horns. C20 glazed conservatory right of centre with rendered base. Entrance door and 20-pane sash without horns within extension. 2- light casement to right. Above 12 pane sash to left, two 16-pane sashes and one 12- pane sash without horns and 1-light casement with glazing bars to right. Rear wing with C20 casements with glazing bars with 1 C19 3-light casement to ground floor in inner angle. Interior C17 range with chamfered ceiling beams with run-out stops. With through passage, blocked to rear with C19 staircase in outshut extension. C19 stair window with decorative glazing bars inserted in interior partition. Circa C17 3-panel door on first floor. Roof possibly replaced in early C18, with chamfered principals halved, lapped and pegged at apex. Collars partly halved, lapped and pegged into principals. Feet of principals boxed-in. C18 range with partition at higher end of through passage removed. C20 chimney pieces plastered ceilings and circa C20 staircase. Roof with 5 trusses to main range circa early C18. Further 2 trusses circa late C19 at higher end, over extension. Principals slightly curved, resting on top of wall plate. Halved, lapped and pegged at apex. Cambered collars, halved lapped and pegged into principals. Some slightly trenched purlins.
