Market cross. Mid C.18, altered in 1817. Tapered square sandstone shaft on moulded plinth on large, dressed sandstone pedestal. Capped with square stone block (with S., E.,and W. faces as sundials) supporting stone globe surmounted by wrought iron compass point and weather vane finial. Listing includes late C.19 drinking fountain attached to W. side of pedestal; pink granite.
