LOFTUS GRINKLE LANE NZ 71 NW (off west side), Easington. 3/16 Low Waupley Farmhouse and adjoining stable ranges. - II Farmhouse,mid C18; early C18 farm cottage, now part of farmhouse; and mid/late C18 stables adjoining at ends. Dressed sandstone farmhouse; cottage and right-hand stable of coursed rubble; left-hand stable of random rubble, with quoins. Gable end and rear walls of cottage rendered. Clay pantile roofs with stone ridge and gable copings and block kneelers. Right end stack rebuilt in brick. Farmhouse and cottage: 2 storeys, 4 windows. Boarded door and late C20 gabled trellis porch at left in cottage. Mid C20 casements in original openings in farmhouse and first-floor of cottage, in enlarged opening on ground floor of cottage. Keyed lintels on ground floor of farmhouse. End and ridge stacks. Single-storey stable ranges; that at right has late C20 casement window. Cottage has lean-to rear outshut with catslide roof. Stable doors and boarded windows in rear wall of stables. Mid/late C20 glass and timber porch adjoining rear of cottage, timber and corrugated steel shed adjoining right-hand stable, and mid/late C20 concrete-block outbuilding adjoining rear of left-hand stable, are not of interest.
