House. 1709 with wing of c1760. Red English garden wall bond, stone flagged roof. 2 storeys with attic and basement. Entrance front: 5 bays to ground floor, 4 to first floor, slightly staggered. Doorway to left of centre with splayed wood, original door with 6 raised and fielded panels and door knocker with date. 2 2-light casement windows to either side with splayed heads. 4 2-light casement windows to first floor of uneven size (replaced brickwork indicates that the 3-left-hand windows probably extended lower originally). String course between the floor of ovolo-moulded brick. 2 cross-shaped gable chimneys. South Eastern front: basement exposed due to slope of ground. Raised band of single bricks between basement and ground floor, ground floor and first floor and first floor and gable. 2 2-light segment headed casement windows to basement at far left and right. 2 similar windows to ground floor. 2 similar windows to first floor with flat splayed heads, the right hand one wider. Wing to left hand side of c1760. C20 french windows to basement level. Segmental splayed headed windows to first floor with stone cappings to walls and gable. Later gable chimney. North western front: similar to south eastern front but with 3 2-light segment headed casement windows to basement. Left ground floor window bricked in. Rear elevation: Gable capped staircase turret to centre. All windows are C20 replacements. Interior: Stone flagged floor to hall and panelled overdoor. Parlour, has bolection moulded panelling perhaps somewhat later than the house. Basement kitchen has bressumer to ingle nook fireplace. Staircase, has rectangular panelled posts with dropped finials and flat caps, balusters have knopped and spiral twisted bodies. Original fielded panelled doors to ground and first floors. Abutting the house are garden walls and gatepiers. Red English garden wall bond brick with stone cappings and gatepiers. Rectangular enclosure to front of house. Gatepiers on line with front door have moulded plinths, rusticated stonework. Cyma moulded caps with drum finials and domed gadroomed tops supporting flattened balls (one ball replaced) C20 arched gateway to left hand wall. C20 wrought iron gates to both openings.
