Details
DODCOTT CUM WILKESLEY C.P. COMBERMERE PARK SJ 54 SE 6/26 Sundial and base c.5 yards to south-east - of Combermere Abbey GV II Sundial and base. C19 shaft resting upon base of Cl2 date. Yellow sandstone ashlar. Circular base with moulded lip probably originally a base or capital to a Romanesque column of the abbey building. Upon this rests an octagonal C19 sundial shaft with bulbous lower body and a copper plate and gnomon to the top.
