House : mid C18 with some later alterations and additions. Flemish bond orange brick with stone dressings. Welsh slate roof, stone ridge and gable brick chimneys. Double-pile plan. 3-storey symmetrical 3-bay front. End bays have flush 12-pane sashes with flat stone heads with shaped tops and raised keystones. Central bay has doorcase with a shouldered architrave and triangular pediment. Fielded reveals and 6-panelled door with a rectangular fanlight with radial glazing bars and a sunrise effect. Simple moulded coping to the blocking course. Interior: 6-panelled doors throughout (one with a peephole in the lower floor). Original archways over the passage and well staircase of turned balusters, shaped pine handrail and bracketed open string. Stairwell has a dado rail supported by plain pilasters. 2-panelled door with raised fields and L and H-shaped hinges to cellar. Behind the stairwell are rectangular powder rooms on each floor. Simple moulded plaster cornices in some rooms.
