GV II
Farmhouse: probably C16 origins, rebuilt late C17 with early C19 fenestration and modernisation in 1984. Irregular bond orange brick, concrete tile roof, 1 massive projecting gable ashlar stack. 2-storey, 4-bay front. Tall stone plinth to left side, sawtooth brick band at 1st floor. Windows are small-pane iron casements with intersecting tracery, and 4 hinged panels. These have 4-centred brick heads. Partly glazed door in the 2nd bay has a wooden lintel and is approached by 2 steps. Interior: heavy chamfered ceiling beams, room to rear has chamfered and stopped joists. Retains old timber wall plates, and a wattle and daub partition wall. Plain baluster C19 staircase with circular newels. Rock-cut cellar reached by a winder stone staircase.
