Detached house. 1898-9. By CHB Quennell; built by Boddy &
Chapman; plaster panels modelled by Benjamin Lloyd. Red brick
with plastered 1st floor having relief Classical female
figures, putti and foliage and red brick dressings. Brick
modillion 1st floor band. Tiled hipped roof with gable to
right hand bay, dormers, tall brick slab chimney-stacks and
overhanging bracketed eaves with moulded cornice. Asymmetrical
design.
2 storeys and attics. 3 windows. Projecting gabled right hand
bay with 5-light canted bowed bay of sash windows having blind
boxes and entablature with projecting cornice. 1st floor
segmental-arched 3-light sash window with blind box. Gable has
a keyed oculus, moulded eaves cornice and short returns of
eaves soffit to give appearance of a broken pediment above
brick pilasters. Entrance in central bay having a cornice hood
on enriched console brackets; part-glazed panelled door with
sidelights. 1st floor sash with blind box. Left hand bay has a
3-light sash window with blind box to each floor.
