6/95 The Grange -
GV II
C18 red brick farmhouse of five bays and two storeys. Low- pitch slate roof rebuilt in C19 after fire; end stacks and rear stack. Band between floors brick plinth. Five first floor hung sash windows with glazing bars in flush frames and segmental brick arches. Four similar ground floor windows and central doorway with original flat canopy on shaped brackets. Rectangular fanlight above four panelled door. Late C19 gault brick and slate roofed extension. Interior has large kitchen hearth, and panelled room to south. C19 staircase. RCHM (Hunts), p74.
