Details

ELTON OUNDLE ROAD TL 19 SW (South Side) 4/63 Sheepwalk Farmhouse II Farmhouse. Late C17, or early C18 with C19 addition and alterations. Coursed limestone rubble and freestone dressings. Collyweston stone slated roofs with laced valleys. One storey and attic with cross wing to south-east and added lean-to in angle to north-east. Original four unit plan. South-west elevation. End stack to left hand and ridge stack to right hand rebuilt in red brick using original moulded cornices and string. C19 porched entrance with corbelled gabled roof similar to three facade gabled dormer windows. Glazed, panelled door; two ground floor three-light casement windows and one C20 casement window to right hand; dormer windows with nine-paned hung sashes and one similar attic window. Blocked doorway to right of centre. Interior: Closed string staircase possibly resited, and boxed staircase; sealed open hearths and two blocked windows, boxed ceiling beams and one deeply chamfered beam with lozenge-stop.
