south of Boringdon House)
GV II*
Gate-piers to great house. Probably late C17 for the Parkers
of Boringdon. Rusticated granite ashlar with plinths, moulded
cornices and shaped caps surmounted by ball finials. Square
piers. Half-domed niche to front of each pier. These piers are
similar to the piers NW of Boringdon in South Hams CC and to
piers SE of Saltram House, Merafield Road (qv), which came
from Boringdon.
