2. C18 house with early C19 alterations. Two-storeys and attics, T-plan. Gault brick with red brick dressings. Modern plain tiled roof with tumbled brick parapet gables and end stacks. Modillioned eaves cornice. Two hung sash dormer windows with glazing bars. Central doorway with six panelled door and rectangular fanlight. Doorcase with fluted engaged Doric columns, decorated frieze and plain reveals. Bow windows with three hung-sash windows and glazing bars, moulded cornice and freize decoration. Two first-floor hung sash windows with glazing bars and flat arches, flank central round headed hung sash window. Interior: fine early C19 staircase. Wrought iron sign, work of a Belgian war refugee, Pitoors, in 1914. Home of the Tebbutts. (ref C F Tebbutt, 1941).
