Details
EARITH HIGH STREET 1. 5140 (south side) Nos 66 and 68 TL 38 74 18/19 II 2. Dated 1774 on brick. L-plan house. Gault brick, plain tile roof. Shallow tumbled parapet gables, and stack to left hand. Rear wall of three bays and wing, timber- framed. Two-storeys. Symmetrical three window range of hung sashes with glazing bars at first floor. Two large hung sash windows in gauged red brick, segmental arches flank central doorway. Doorcase with reeded pilasters and freize, boss enrichment to capitals, projecting cornice and panelled reveals. Six panelled door and rectangular fanlight with glazing bars. Fine C18 door and doorcase to rear wing, possibly original front door. Interior: Three large inglenook hearths. Closed string staircase with square section balusters. Raised and fielded two panel doors with original hinges.
