PIDLEY-CUM-FENTON B1040 1. 5140 (north side) Fenton Fenton Manor Farmhouse (formerly listed as Fenton House) TL 37 NW 4/9 24.10.51 II* GV 2. Early C18 farmhouse. H-plan. Red brick. Plain tiled roof with modillion eaves cornice and small gable in middle. Tumbled parapet gables and end stacks. Two-storeys and attics Band course between storeys. Symmetrical north-west elevation of five hung sashes with glazing bars in flat, rusticated brick arches. Four similar windows at ground-floor central doorway. Doorway with elliptical head, enclosed by shouldered architrave with enriched frieze above. Flat canopy with moulded cornice carried on carved scroll brackets and pilasters with recessed panels. Interior has closed-string staircase of three flights. Turned balusters, square section newel posts and moulded rail. North-east ground-floor room has raised panelling, moulded cornice and niche with half round head. (RCHM Huntingdonshire Mon 5 p 204).
