Public house. 1703 and altered on the front late C19. Brick, painted white.
Slate roof, with lower pitch to front following roof raise in 1870. Red brick
ridge stack square and of four flues with recessed panel to front. Date 1703
and initials WCM set in recessed panel. The upper courses have been rebuilt.
Single range with late C19 wing at rear. Four recessed window openings with
C20 leaded lights. Segmental arches to three, three-light casements on either
side of baffle entry doorway. At first floor a brick inscribed with initials
JW and the date 1870 which is probably the date of the roof raise and the
rebuild of the front wall.
