GAMLINGAY CHURCH STREET TL 2352 (South side) 11/59 Nos 62 and 64
GV II Pair of houses and shop. C18. Timber framed, roughcast rendered and plain tile roof. Shared ridge stack, C18, rebuilt above the ridge. Two storeys. Three first floor flush frame six pane hung sashes. Three ground floor windows, including a similar one of six panes and another of sixteen panes. Later C18-early C19 doorcase with reeded pilasters, flat hood on brackets and six panelled door. No 62 now has a shop to a ground floor room. Each house has a contemporary wing at the rear. Timber framed, rendered and tiled. Doorway to no 64 is in the wing. No 64 was the Royal Oak PH in the late C17. C Brown: Mss Notes
