TL 4843 ICKLETON ABBEY STREET (South-east side) 21/191 No. 9 (Red Lion PH) 22.11.67 GV II Public house. c.1700 with C18 and C19 alterations. Timber-framed and plastered,panels with some original patternwork. Plain tiled roof with ridge stack to right of centre and gable end stack to right hand. Two storeys, attic and cellar with C20 single storey extension to right hand and lean-to to left hand gable. Two six-raised and-fielded-panelled doors and boarded panel blocking an earlier doorway to the left hand. Two twenty-paned hung sash windows with C20 shutters; four first floor casement windows with glazing bars. Interior: Exposed stop-chamfered ceiling beam, exposed joists, and cased beams.
