Baggot Hall

II
GV

House, c.1750 possibly with earlier left hand rear range.
Narrow, yellow brick English bond with stucco facade incised for
stone, early C19. Plain tiled, mansard roof with end parapets
on kneelers and wood modillion eaves cornice. One end stack
flush with gable end and ridge stack. Plan of main range and
service wing. Two storeys and attics. Four flat roof dormers
with horizontal sliding sashes. Four hung sashes of sixteen
panes each in open boxing. Off centre doorway with early C19
pedimented doorcase with fluted pilasters and plain frieze. The
right hand rear range is contemporary with the front range, and
of yellow brick with a mansard roof and end stack. However the
left hand rear range is of a different building period. There
is a straight joint in the brickwork. The walls are roughcast
suggesting a possible timber frame. Tiled roof. Two storeys.
