GV II

House. Late C15 with early C17 and C19 and C20 additions and alterations. Timber-framed with C20 pargetted cement render, plain tile roofs hipped to left hand with gablet. Single storeyed open hall and service bay to right hand with jettied crosswing to left hand. (qv Manor Farmhouse and Green Farmhouse). Chimney stack with baking oven inserted into cross passage, and hall and service bay chambered over in C17. Single storey extension to right hand gable, C17, timber-framed and pantiled. Ridge stack and side stack to left hand with rebuilt upper courses. C18 panelled door in original cross passage position, four ground floor, and four attic and first floor C20 casement windows. Interior: Exposed timber-frame, and floor frames showing clearly C17 rebuilding, insertions and original openings. One three-light diamond mullioned window in crosswing with shutter groove. Side purlin roofs with rafters over the hall smoke blackened.
