Early C18 stone house with earlier origins. Fine early C18 ashlar front of
2 storeys four bays with moulded stone cornice and giant corner pilasters.
The windows and doorway have rusticated architraves and voussoirs, the doorway
is to left of centre and has rectangular fanlight and glazed door. Double span
steeply pitched Collyweston stone roof with coped gable ends with brick topped
stacks.
The house has been enlarged subsequently to early C18 and there is also evidence
of earlier masonry and a C16 2-light stone mullion window at the rear.
Interior: Plain Cl8 panelled rooms with contemporary chimney pieces. C18 dogleg
staircase with moulded balusters and rail and square newels; kitchen wing to
north-west, stone, with Collyweston stone roof, single storey range. Including
pump against south wall of kitchen, encased in wood and lead with initials "S"
over "WC 1772".
