23.6.52 Ripes House

II

House, late C18. Local brick, mainly red, with low pitch slate roof forming a pediment to principal elevation in the south gable end. Two original stacks in each side wall. Two storeys and attic. Round-headed arch to attic window in tympanum of pediment. Sills and flat arches to range of three recessed hung sashes with glazing bars. Two similar larger windows on either side of doorway with pediment and possibly rebuilt attached columns on plinths. Later panelled door. Flanking the principal elevation are two shaped walls to the forecourt.
