GV II

Pair of cottages, forming part of a row. Early to mid C19. Brick in Flemish bond;
gabled-end slate roof. Double-depth plan with double-fronted shop occupying the
left of the plan and a 1-room wide house to the right with its entrance between;
right-hand end internal stack. 2 storeys.
Front: 5-window range; three 16-pane hornless sash windows and 2 blocked windows
to first floor: ground floor with 2 canted bay windows, formerly shop windows, with
glazing bars; these flank a panelled door with rectangular fanlight, and together
with a similar door to the right, are grouped under a single moulded cornice. 12-
pane hornless sash window to extreme right.
