Public House. Circa C16. Stone rubble partly whitewashed. Thatched roof with gabled and half hipped ends and eyebrows eaves. Two storeys. Long four/five window range. Ground floor two stone mullion window with four four-centred arch lights. Right hand three-light stone window with hood mould. First floor two three and four-light wooden casements. Modern plank door to left of centre. To right hand an external stone chimney stack projecting from front in three diminishing stages, the top rebuilt in brick. Other stone at ridge and ends. Former byre at right hand (north east) end with buttressed front and having continuation of thatched roof. Modern weather-boarded extension at rear. Including outbuilding adjoining north east formerly stables with back to road, stone rubble and with pantile roof with gabled ends. Interior: Possibly inserted timber ceiling with hollow chamfered beams. Linenfold panelling on one wall of ground floor room. Plank and muntin screen and large open fireplace with chamfered bressumer at higher (east) end. Said to contain jointed cruck trusses with smoke-blackening.
