ST 20 NE MEMBURY CRAWLEY COMMON 2/374 Bridge Meadow (formerly Lower Crawley)

House. Circa early C16 hall house with floor inserted in C17 and extended to west in early C19. Roughcast stone rubble. Thatched roof with half hipped and gabled ends and eyebrow eaves. Early C19 west end has slate roof. Two storeys. Long five window range. Modern casements with glazing bars. Plank door off centre to cross passage, and thatched porch. Rendered central chimney stack and later end brick stacks. Interior: Jointed cruck trusses. Inserted moulded timber ceiling. Central chimney stack with open fireplace with moulded stone jamb and moulded timber bressummer. To side of stack a doorway to cross passage with shouldered arch.
