5/139 Barnhayes - - II
House. C18. Cob and stone mix on stone plinth, rendered, under hipped wheat reed thatched roof. Right-hand end external brick stack and rear lateral (now internal) stack. Double-depth plan with later rear leantos. 2 storeys. Front: Symmetrical 3-window range; central gabled timber porch with thatched roof. Lintels of upper windows at eaves level; all windows with exposed sash boxes, and two C19 2-pane timber horned sashes. One rear ground-floor 2-light window (now internal within leanto) with shallow, chamfered jambs and mullion; at first-floor level, one 2-light window, one light still with 6 leaded panes, glazing bars and C18 latch; and a 3-light window, the outer lights with glazing bars (but wanting leaded panes). Interior: mid C19 panelled doors; good C18 4- bay roof, collars and tie-beams, side-pegged and halved; apex crossed, side- pegged and halved.
