BICTON STREET 1. 5176 (South Side) Nos 20 to 72 (even) SY 0080 1/30 28.2.75. II GV

2. Nos 20 to 48, early C19. Generally red brick facades. Nos 20, 22 and 46 colourwashed. Nos 38 and 40 colourwashed roughcast. Nos 38 and 40 have eaves band and coped blocking course. Roofs generally tiles or slates but Nos 38 and 40 corrugated asbestos and No 46 modern pantiles. 2 1/2 storeys with 1 dormer each. 2 windows but 3 to Nos 38 and 40 which form a pair. Most windows sashes with glazing bars, some 1st floor blanks. No 20 has earlier C20 2 storey rectangular bay. Pedimented or Tuscan doorcases, No 22 pedimented Nos 24 to 28, Nos 32 and 34 Tuscan. Nos 36 and 42 have simple doorcases with cornice, flat hood and pilasters. No 44 has segmental arch over 2 doors. 6 panelled doors to Nos 22 to 28, 32 to 42 and No 48. Nos 24, 26 and 32 to 48 all have fanlights, some with tracery. No 50 stucco facade. 2 1/2 storeys with 1 dormer. Original features now generally removed. Nos 52 to 72 early C19. Generally red brick facades. No 72 with stone rubble end wall. No 58 colourwashed roughcast and band at 1st floor. Roofs generally tiles or slates. 2 1/2 storeys with 1 dormer each but Nos 52 to 66 of 2 storeys. Generally 2 windows each but 3 to each pair. (Nos 54 and 56 and Nos 60 and 62). Most Windows, sashes with glazing bars, some 1st floor blanks. No 56 has ground floor modern casements in former sash spaces. No 64 has modern reproduction bow ground floor. Nos 52, 54, 60, 62, 70 and 72 have pedimented doorcases. No 58 has a simple doorcase with cornice, flat hood and pilasters. No 56 has a round arched door with archivolt and impost bands. No 54, Nos 58 to 62 and Nos 66 to 70 have 6 panelled doors. Fanlights to Nos 52 to 72.
