1/181 Barn about 15 metres north-west - of Waye Farmhouse
GV II
Large barn in forecourt of farmhouse, its gable fronting the road. Probably C17 or C18. Granite rubble. Corrugated-iron roof, half-hipped at east end; west end is now gabled, but the timbers of a former half-hip are visible inside. Owl hole in west gable. Plank doors (the planks mostly renewed) with old wrought-iron strap- hinges. In north wall a medieval, shouldered-head wood door-frame, probably brought from elsewhere. Roof-trusses C18 or early C19 with collars pegged to the faces of the principal rafters. Included for group value.
