8/225 Causeway and Floodarches - immediately south-west of Teignbridge railway crossing GV II
Causeway and 3 sets of floodarches over flood plain of River Teign. Late C18 or early C19. Rubble stone side walls with parapets and ashlar platband carrying elevated roadway extending from OS 85607327 to beyond southern parish boundary. At northern end a single segmental and flood arch with ashlar voussoirs, near southern boundary another similar flood arch and between pair of low elliptical flood arches with ashlar voussoirs separated by cutwaters with pyramid caps east and west. The plat-band ramps over the arches. Dressed copings to parapets throughout.
