8/298 Rose and Step 9/3/60 Cottage (formerly listed with Ivy Cottage) GV II
House, now divided. C16, extended in C18 and C20 to left end. Timber framed on brown brick plinth with whitewashed render infill, thinner frame to left and brick extensions to end. C20 plain tiled roofs. Two storeys with end stack to right and ridge stack to left of centre. Bracing exposed on first floor. Pentice dormer to left and three leaded casement windows on the first floor. Four windows to ground floor, three of them under drip boards. Door to right under drip board (Step Cottage) and door to left in single storey extension (Rose Cottage).
