Shown on OS map as No.18. House. c1710-20. Red brick with burnt brick dressings; partly rendered and whitewashed timber frame to rear. Plaintile roof. EXTERIOR: facade of 2 storeys. 7-window range. Central 8-panelled and fielded door. Doorcase with panelled reveals and fluted pilasters rising to metope frieze beneath segmental pediment. Over door is an arched 6/6 unhorned sash with surround of brick pilasters with capitals and bases. Remaining fenestration of 6/6 unhorned sashes set within flush frames and beneath gauged skewback arches. Platband at first floor. Moulded brick eaves cornice. Panelled parapet. 2 parallel hipped roofs with two stacks in valley. South return with C19 single-storey hipped extension. 2 blind first-floor windows to west half; mixed C19 sashes and casements to east half. Each roof with one flat-topped dormer. At rear a steeply-pitched C20 2-storey outshut to left; 2-storey C19 outshut to right. Between them an arched early C18 staircase window with 6/6 glazing bars. INTERIOR: staircase with two turned balusters per tread and moulded handrail.
