Details
SK 38/3925 PARISH OF MELBOURNE MARKET PLACE 6/137 (South Side) Nos 22,23 and 24 GV II Terrace of three cottages. Early C19 with later alterations. Red brick with painted stone dressings and plain tile roofs with one brick ridge stack and a brick gable stack to west, plus sawtooth eaves band. All cottages have two storeys, Nos 22 and 23 are single bay but No 24 to west has an extra bay to first floor because of a passage through the buildings below. No 22 to east has a C20 panelled door to east and a glazing bar sash to west plus similar window above. No 23 has a similar elevation reversed, except for original flush panelled door. Beyond to west there is a plank door into the alley and above there is a plain sash No 24 has a flush panelled door to east, a plain sash to west and above, a similar window. All openings have rusticated wedge lintels with keystones.
