Farmhouse. Dated 1697. Coursed rubble gritstone with gritstone dressings and quoins.
Stone slate roof and stone coped gables with ball finials and moulded kneelers.
Central stone ridge stack and stone gable end stack. Two storeys. L-plan with two
storey porch at north-east corner. This has a doorway with chamfered surround and
lintel with four-centred arch and date 1697. East elevation of porch has two single
light round arched windows with chamfered surrounds and ballflower motifs around the
arch. (There are similar windows at Herod Farm and the White House both in
Charlesworth parish.) To the left of the porch a 3-light recessed and chamfered
mullion window with a 2-light chamfered mullion window above. On the return wall are
two 2-light recessed and chamfered mullion windows with a similar window above. South
elevation of two not quite symmetrical bays, with four 3-light recessed and chamfered
mullion windows, two to each floor. West elevation has a later lean-to porch, a
2-light window with recessed and chamfered surround, originally of 4 lights. Similar
window to left originally of 2-lights, and two similar 3-light windows above. Inside
is a stud partition and a number of C17 beams.
