Details
TL 6222 GREAT DUNMOW STORTFORD ROAD TL 6221 Nos. 23/25 7/80, 8/13 20.2.67 GV II
Flats, shop and offices. Early C19 and possibly earlier. Timber framed and plastered with hipped peg tile roof behind front parapets and gable at rear. The front elevation has a recessed centre has on the first floor one double hung sash with small panes and similar tripartite sash window. Ground floor has canted bay window with small pane sash windows and coved soffits. The E projecting wing has one double hung sash with small panes and a similar curved window set in the curved NE corner. Below is a C19 shopfront with C20 door and fascia. The W projecting wing has one similar double hung sash over a further double hung sash and simple entrance door. Central ridge line brick stack, ashlar fragments on plaster and single storey rear extension with slate hipped roof. Interior of No. 25 has ground floor room with good late C18/early C19 panelling.
