SK 18 SW PARISH OF CASTLETON BUXTON ROAD 6/24 (South Side) 21.4.67 Goosehill Hall GV II
House. Late C18. Rubble limestone with gritstone dressings and quoins. Stone slate roofs with stone coped gables with moulded kneelers. Three stone ridge stacks and two gable end stacks, one truncated. Two storeys over basement, irregular L-plan. North elevation of five bays with three bay return wall to west wing. Doorway at the angle formed by the return wall, with moulded stone surround and cornice. Semi-circular steps and iron rail. Raised and fielded panelled door. To the left, a 2-light square section flush mullion window, then three glazing bar sashes set in stone surrounds to the left. Five 2-light square section flush mullion windows above. Return wall with two glazing bar sashes and a doorway to the ground floor and three 2-light square section flush mullion windows above. Irregular south elevation, with mostly glazing bar sashes.
