CHURCH OF ST HUGH
GV II
Parish church. 1880. Coursed limestone rubble with gritstone dressings and
rusticated quoins to porch. Stone slate roof. Stone coped gables with moulded
kneelers. Bellcote to south gable. Ridge cross to porch. Two bay, single storey
building with lower projecting south porch and north chancel bay. Semi-circular
headed porch doorcase with plain hood. Semi-circular headed windows to either
side of porch. Above, in south gable wall, oval window in flush surround. Two
large four pane windows to either side of nave. Rectangular windows with coloured
glass to chancel bay. Interior very simple with bench pews. Table altar to north.
