Miners Welfare, public house at time of listing. c1894 by Brewill & Baily. Red brick and timber framing, with blue brick dressings. Plain tile roof with brick ridge stack. Two storeys. Chamfered plinth.
West elevation of three broad irregular bays. Gabled bay to left has a decorative timber framed gable. Square bay window, boarded up at the time of re-survey. To the right a flight of steps lead up to a lean-to porch entrance bay. This has a square bay window of 2-5-2 lights, the oversailing roof supported on two timber columns. Recessed porch to the left.
To the right again is a five-light casement window under a recessed segmental arch. Square oriel window above, rising to a gable in the roof. 1-2-1-2-1 lights, the centre light lower and with a decorative pediment above. Timber framed gable. The north elevation has another bay window beneath a timber framed gable, and three other windows.
