TORVER A593 SD 29 SE (North-west side) 7/194 Bank End Farmhouse & adjoining barn
GV II
House and barn. Early C18. Stone rubble, the house part roughcast, and slate roof. House of 2 storeys and 3 bays has outhouse adjoining to left, from which projects the barn. Ground floor windows have dripstones, that to 1st bay has casement, that to 3rd bay has small-paned fixed glazing with opening pane. 1st floor windows are sashed, those to 1st 2 bays with single glazing bars and horns, that to 3rd bay with vertical glazing bars. Gable-end stack. Passage between outhouse and barn, which has continuous outshut under cat slide roof to right return, which in turn has outshut under cat slide roof. Stone mounting block to gable end of barn and wide entrances with timber lintels to outshuts. Left return of barn has pivoted doors under pentice. Entrance, window and owl hole to left return of outbuilding. Rear of house has outshut under cat slide roof, 2- and 3-light casements and loading door to outhouse. Interior not inspected.
