House, now three houses. Early C19. Ashlar, the service wing of stone rubble, and
hipped slate roofs. South facade of two storeys and five bays with single-storey
5-bay former orangery to right. 1st-floor sill band and top frieze, cornice and
parapet; orangery has cornice and coped parapet. Windows are sashed with
glazing bars. Central entrance has bowed porch with two unfluted Doric columns and
half-columns, frieze, modillioned cornice and blocking course; entrance has
flanking windows, architrave, overlight and 6-panel door. Orangery has
Tetrastyle Doric portico, details as porch, with 20-pane sashed windows;
flanking 6-panel doors have panels above. Lateral stacks and cross-axial stacks
with moulded caps. West facade has 3-bay bowed centred with flanking bays.
Ground-floor windows have consoled cornices as do niches to blind bays, which
have blind windows above. Rear of five bays is similar. Service wing to north of
orangery of two bays, with 3-bay return wing to east. Windows have flat arches
and most are sashed with glazing bars, some are paired. Return wing has
segmental-arched carriage way and small lean-to extension; rear has casement
window inserted in elliptical-arched opening. Three cross-axial stacks. INTERIOR
has plaster cornices and stone fireplaces. Stone flying stair has reeded
balusters and oval lantern above; landing has round-headed openings; pedimented
1st-floor door. Dining room has niche with festoons. Vaulted strong room.
