1/57 Low Millgillhead with adjoining coach house 9.3.67 and stables

G.V. II

House; probably late C18/early C19 with additions and alterations. Wet-dashed rubble with quoins. Hipped, graduated slate roofs with rendered chimneys. L-shaped plan. 2 storeys. 3-bay narrow road elevation has central panelled door in stone surround with shaped stucco pediment; sash with glazing bars in stone surround to either side on each floor. 5-bay garden elevation has 2 doors (one in gabled porch) and scattered fenestration including large stair window with glazing bars. Lower coachhouse, now converted into dwelling, adjoins south end of house at right-angles. 7 stable doors and semicircular-headed coach entrance, some now blocked or part-blocked, to ground floor with 6 windows and 2 small glazed pitching eyes above. Adjoining garages not of interest.
