Details
ST JOHN BECKERMET - NY 00 NW 3/68 Yeorton Farmhouse 9.3.67 GV II House, now 2 houses. Mid C18. Stuccoed stone with slate roof. South-west elevation of 2 storeys and 7 bays, the end bays wider; central entrance plan. Quoin strips and top cornice; coped gables with kneelers. Ground floor has varied fenestration. End bays have square windows with C20 plastic small-paned casements; similar larger window to 3rd bay, 5th bay has sashed window with glazing bars. 1st floor has tall windows with moulded reveals, the 1st 4 with C20 small-paned plastic casements, that to 5th bay blind with dummy sash, 12-paned sash to 6th bay and 24-pane sash to 7th bay. Central round-headed entrance has archivolt and triple key; Doric aedicule with fluted flat pilasters, doric frieze and broken pediment with urn. Plain entrance to 1st bay and late C20 conservatory. Gable-end stacks and 2 cross-axial stacks with cornices. North-east elevation of 5 irregular bays. Ground floor has 3 C20 casements, one earlier 2-light casement and small light. Entrances to 1st bay, entrance to 3rd bay has signs of 1st floor bridge to rear service ranges, now demolished (1988), 1st floor windows have moulded reveals, 1st bay has 24-pane fixed glazing; 2nd bay has 18-pane sash, thick glazing bars, 4th and 5th bays and window in former 3rd bay entrance have C20 plastic small-paned glazing.
