Farmhouse. Probably early C18 although C20 plaque above front porch inscribed
1612, later alterations including single-storey extension to left and outshut
added to rear. Roughcast rendered rubble walls; graduated greenslate roof; two
stepped, projecting end chimneys with slate drips and paired round shafts. Three
storeys. three windows: 2-light casements with chamfered stone surrounds, flat
mullion and leaded lights. Central gabled C20 porch: inner door boarded and
studded oak. Outshut to rear has similar door re-hung using original strap
hinges. Interior has oak staircase through full height with closed string,
square newels and turned balusters; C18 fireplace with corbelled head; oak beams
in living room. C18 panelled doors surrounding first floor landing: possibly
brought from elsewhere.
