TQ 75 NE BOXLEY NEW CUT ROAD (west side)

5/78 Ha-ha in grounds of Vinters circa 100 yards north. North- west of Grove Lodge II

Ha-ha. C18. Description as for wall on east side of south gate. Forms west pier of gate, up to which it is ramped. Runs west from gate for about one yard, turns north-west, ramping downwards, for about 13 yards, and then west for about 13 yards and south-west for a further 18 yards. Ditch resumes, leaving wall to height of about 6 feet, as wall turns south from this point. After running south for about 2 yards, wall turns west for about 50 yards at either end of which stretch it is ramped up, and then turns north, without the ditch for a further 2 yards, forming the side of a minor south entrance. Part of Ha-ha which once encircled Vinters. See also Serial Nos. 5/73-77 consec and 5/79.
