House. Mid-to-late. C15 and C19. Timber framed with rendered infilling to ground floor, and first floor completely rendered. Ground floor in flint to right. Plain tile roof. Wealden house with two equal open hall bays, storeyed bay to left. Probably a storeyed bay to right, rebuilt in C19. 2 storeys on plinth. Left end bay jettied to front and left end. Former open hall built out on first floor to form continuous jetty, right bay of which underbuilt in flint to match right end bay. Roof hipped to left and gabled to right at junction with C19 bay. Roof of C19 bay has higher eaves, lower ridge, and hip at right end. Brick stack in front slope of roof off-centre to right. Irregular fenestration of 4 one, two and three- light casements. C19 ribbed door with segmental head at right end of timber-framed section. Interior: has steeply cambered tie-beam, moulded crown-post and end of hall beam. Late C16 inserted first floor in hall area. Heavy scantling timbers.
