RAMSGATE ST. AUGUSTINE'S ROAD TR 3764 SE (South side) 18/369 Carriage gates with gate piers, walls and west 23.6.86 wicket gate, the Grange, without house. GV II Pair of carriage gates with gate piers, walls and west wicket gate to the Grange,without house. 1843-44 by Augustus Welby Northmore Pugin and 1859 by Edward Welby Pugin. Two brick gate piers with stone copings and heraldic irons rampant with shields single boarded wicket gate. Brick curtain wall with pedestrian wicket entrance under four centred arch. Half-hipped and gabled block in north-west corner; this was Pugin's stained glass cartoon school from 1845.
