1. 5280 COWDEN COWDEN High street (South Side) Nos 17 and 19. (The Post Office and Post House) TQ 4640 9/318

2. C17 or earlier timber framed building with later front. Very high pitched tiled roof with sprocketed eaves and soffit. One ridge and one end stack. Rendered lst floor, painted brick ground floor, tarred plinth. No 17 has modern leaded casement above and C20 door and square bay shop front under hip tiled hood below, with plate glass window on right. No 19 has c19 sash windows with glazing bars in exposed moulded frames. Modern 6-panel door under tiled hood.

Nos 13 to 19 (odd), Medway House and Medway Cottage form a group.
