Built by Isaac Baugh in 1787 and originally called Owletts. Two storeys attics
and basement faced with Roman cement now colourwashed. Hipped slate roof.
The entrance front faces south-east. In the centre is a projection of 3 windows
like a portico approached by 10 wide steps and consisting of 4 circular ionic
columns with 4 pilasters and a cornice and pediment over. On each side of
it is a wing of one window on a high base of cellars with long and short quoins
on the outer sides and a cornice and blocking course over. All the windows
are in moulded architrave surrounds with glazing bars intact. Round-headed
doorcase with traceried fanlight. The south-west front has 5 windows, 3 dormers
and a curved staircase flashed by 2 pillars with eagles. The north-west front
has a central bay of 3 windows on all floors and the north-east elevation has
a stone balustrade with 2 lions.
