Details

RAMSGATE ALBION PLACE TR 3864 NW + 3864 NE (north-west and 13 + 14/40 north-east sides) 13.9.74 Nos. 12 to 15 inclusive, with railed areas GV II Terrace row. 1789-92. Stock brick, in part rendered No. 14 wholly so, with slate roofs. L-shaped terrace. Four storeys and basement, with rusticated base to long arm of L (12a-15), and parapet. Stacks to left of each unit. No. 12 with 2 sashes on 3rd and second floors. 12a, 14 and 15 with 3 each (2 x 9 bays in all). Continuous tented verandah along whole frontage, with scrolled brackets to piers, Geometric pattern rails and scrolled brackets. 12a and 15 with glazed-in verandahs, all units with 3 double hung sashes on 1st floor (2 to No. 12). Single sashes to ground floor and basement of No. 12, with door of 4 panels (part glazed) with semi-circular fanlight in rusticated surround with 4 moulded segmental steps, the whole squeezed into the return angle of the frontage. Two sashes to each ground floor and basement of Nos. 12a-15, with doors of 6 and 4 panels to 12a and 14 in elliptical doorways with side lights, and half-glazed door to No. 15 with attached Doric columned porch. Simple rails to steps and basement areas with urn finial principals, except No. 14 with fleur-de-lys rails.
